Classically trained with a degree in Dance Ethnology and World Music from San Francisco State University, Hannah's extensive background in both Eastern and Western dance and nearly 15 years of experience mentoring children in the art of dance is reflected in her strong commitment to educating youths about the international performing and folk arts. In doing so, she hopes to instill a passion for learning and an appreciation for diverse ways of being as well as offer an inspiring and supportive atmosphere in which to explore movement. The arts are among the greatest achievements of humanity, and perhaps none is experienced more immediately than dance; making it a vital component of personal development and expression, as well as a vehicle with which to explore cultural values and those that transcend culture and speak to our experiences as human beings.
In addition to being the founder and director of Danceversity, Hannah teaches many of the classes, including Arabic, Moroccan, Turkish, Persian and Central Asian dance.
Hannah is professional international performer with an instructional DVD series on the world market. For more information please visit www.hannahdance.com. She is also pursuing graduate work in psychology.
