I graduated from San Francisco State University this year with a BS in Biology, concentration in Physiology and a minor in Counseling. I am 100% Palestinian. Both of my parents are from a small village called Jifna. I was born in Anaheim, CA however I was raised in one of the finest Cities, San Francisco. I speak and read Arabic fluently, and try my best to go back home any chance that I get to see my relatives. Some of my finest childhood memories was doing Debka, which is an Arab folkloric traditional dance with my father. My father till this day is known to be one of the best debka dancers in my eyes. My parents got my siblings and I involved in a local Arab church youth group. We immediately started a church debka troupe when I was 9 years of age in which I am currently involved in with teaching debka to the younger youth. When I was entering high school, I was asked to be apart of SFSU GUPS (General Union of Palestine Students) debka troupe. I was apart of that for about 5 years, until I was introduced to Al-Juthoor debka troupe. For the past 3 years, I have performed at numerous events, cultural programs, protests and even the world's art ethnic dance festival.
